Compliance Officer
Build Compliance Infrastructure for the Future of Gaming, Crypto & Technology
Arden Consult is the Philippines leading strategy and advisory firm at the forefront of gaming, crypto, fintech, and emerging technologies. We work with some of the world's most recognized international companies to help them enter, operate, and scale in Southeast Asia. What began as regulatory consulting has evolved into long-term strategic partnerships — where we now serve as trusted compliance and operational partners across the region.
Based in our new BGC office, we are building a lean, high-impact team. This role reports to Arden's Legal Director and works closely with our regulatory, client delivery, and leadership teams.
The Role
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to design, build, and run compliance systems across the firm and for our clients in the gaming, crypto, and technology sectors. This is not a box-ticking role — you will be responsible for creating compliance infrastructure from the ground up, advising clients on regulatory obligations, and ensuring that both Arden and its clients operate to the highest standards across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll do
• Design, implement, and manage AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, and sanctions compliance programs for the firm and its clients across gaming, crypto, and fintech sectors
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with Philippine regulations (AMLC, PAGCOR, BSP, SEC) and international best practices (FATF)
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and gap analyses for clients entering or operating in the Philippine market
• Serve as the firm's subject matter expert on compliance matters, advising engagement teams and providing compliance support across client mandates
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across relevant agencies and translate them into actionable guidance for the firm and its clients
• Build and deliver compliance training programs for internal teams and client organizations
• Liaise with regulators, law enforcement, and external compliance partners as required
• Lead or support the preparation of regulatory filings, suspicious transaction reports, and other compliance documentation
• Establish compliance tooling, reporting frameworks, and audit-readiness processes
• Support due diligence on new clients, partners, and commercial relationships
What we're looking for
• 5+ years of compliance experience in a regulated industry: banking, fintech, payments, gaming, or crypto
• Strong working knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, KYC/KYB requirements, and sanctions frameworks
• Direct experience designing or managing compliance programs — not just operating within them
• Familiarity with Philippine regulatory bodies (AMLC, PAGCOR, BSP, SEC) and their compliance expectations
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly
• Comfortable working across multiple client engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced advisory environment
• Graduate of a reputable university in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are a strong plus
Nice to have
• Experience working with or within online gaming operators, crypto exchanges, or fintech platforms
• Exposure to cross-border compliance matters or multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks
• Experience building compliance functions at a startup, high-growth company, or advisory firm
• Background in regulatory technology (regtech) tools or compliance automation
• Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (Philippine DPA, GDPR)
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification
Why join Arden
You'll be building compliance infrastructure that doesn't yet exist — for a firm that sits at the intersection of the fastest-moving sectors in the Philippines. This is a foundational role with real ownership: you won't inherit a compliance manual, you'll write it. You'll work directly with Arden's leadership and international clients on high-impact engagements, with a front-row seat to the regulatory and commercial evolution of gaming, crypto, and technology in Southeast Asia.
