Company Driver

A Company Driver's job description focuses on the safe and timely transportation of goods, equipment, or company personnel to designated locations, while also maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Key responsibilities include driving, loading/unloading, performing vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, maintaining accurate logs, planning efficient routes, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation: Drive company vehicles (e.g., cars, vans, trucks) to transport goods, materials, employees, or clients to and from specified locations.
• Safety & Efficiency: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety regulations, and safe driving practices to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, ensuring the vehicle is clean, in good working condition, and refueling as needed.
• Logistics: Load and unload goods or materials, assist passengers with luggage, and use GPS or local knowledge to plan and adjust routes for optimal efficiency.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate transportation logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details, and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, management, and clients to report any delays, issues, or vehicle defects.
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients and the public.
