Description
The Community Team is looking for a new band member who will help deliver an excellent experience to BandLab's global community of musicians through community engagement.
Reporting to our Head of Community & Support, the ideal candidate will be an advocate for the community, service-oriented, with strong team-building and communication skills, and able to further strengthen our relationship with our community.

Key Responsibilities
- Be part of the team that builds, grows, and manages the global community on Discord, BandLab, and Reddit
- Monitor and respond to day-to-day community engagements and curate engaging content for various channels using a content calendar
- Manage, train, and scale our team of volunteer moderators, including handling escalation processes
- Analyse community feedback, trends, and sentiment to identify opportunities for adjustments and drive product improvements
- Collaborate with our product and development teams to gather direct feedback from the community and support interviews
- Track and report key community insights including growth, sentiments, and feedback to measure effectiveness and provide actionable product insights
- Organize virtual events such as livestreams, Q&A sessions, and other community initiatives to create an engaging and supportive community environment
- Identify potential community partners, leaders, and artists for future collaborations and features
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in community management and moderation on platforms like Discord and Reddit
- Active participation and awareness of popular/trending conversations within the community
- Skilled in writing and communications, with the ability to resolve conflicts and mitigate difficult conversations
- Eager and willing to learn about technical concepts and the product
- Empathetic and patient, with the ability to respond meaningfully to user concerns in public forums
- Able to flex across atypical working hours as needed
Bonus Points:- Experience using Zendesk, Google Suites, and JIRA
- Experience with live streaming as a support or host
- Experience working with content creators or are a content creator yourself
- Experience with analyzing data and driving insights
- Deep, well-demonstrated experience in online community building and social outreach (Facebook, Twitch, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit)
- General technical understanding of music production, BandLab, Cakewalk, and/or other digital audio workstations
- Experienced/able to host community livestreams
- Primarily English-speaking but multilingual is a plus
- Can rock out on an instrument
