Job Overview
We are seeking a senior, highly analytical, and strategy-oriented Community Growth professional to own external community user growth and conversion at scale.
This role is not a traditional community operations position. You will be responsible for designing growth strategies, defining conversion frameworks, building data models, and optimizing campaign performance across external Facebook Group ecosystems.
The ideal candidate is extremely sensitive to numbers, comfortable working with complex datasets, and capable of turning data into actionable growth strategies. Candidates with mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other science-based academic backgrounds are strongly preferred.
You will act as the end-to-end owner of external community growth, working closely with Product, Campaign, and Data teams to drive measurable user acquisition efficiency and betting conversion outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
1. External Community Growth System Ownership
- Own the overall growth strategy and performance of local sports community channels (primarily Facebook Groups).
- Define community positioning, target user profiles, and growth objectives.
- Establish quality standards balancing user volume vs. conversion quality.
- Design scalable governance frameworks covering moderation, risk control, and escalation.
2. User Acquisition & Growth Strategy (Core Focus)
- Design and execute external community growth strategies, including:
- Cross-group collaboration and expansion
- External community and admin partnerships
- Content distribution and amplification mechanisms
- Identify and test new acquisition channels and growth hypotheses.
- Lead growth experimentation, including A/B testing and iterative optimization.
- Leverage internal or external KOL / admin resources to accelerate growth where applicable.
3. Conversion & Funnel Optimization
- Design end-to-end conversion funnels from community entry to betting-site activation.
- Own and monitor key funnel metrics across acquisition, engagement, and conversion stages.
- Work cross-functionally to:
- Optimize CTA design and placement
- Improve user journeys and reduce conversion friction
- Enhance conversion efficiency and quality
- Evaluate conversion outcomes based on downstream value, not surface engagement.
4. Data Strategy, Metrics Design & Analytics
- Define and own core success metrics, including:
- User acquisition and churn
- Engagement quality indicators
- Conversion rate and downstream value
- Build and maintain self-owned dashboards and trackers using Google Sheets / Excel or similar tools.
- Conduct cohort and trend analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Translate data into:
- Clear strategic insights
- Actionable optimization plans
- Data-backed recommendations for leadership
- Establish standardized reporting frameworks for external community performance.
5. Campaign Strategy & Performance Optimization
- Lead the strategy and structure of community-based growth campaigns.
- Define campaign mechanics, target cohorts, and success metrics.
- Ensure end-to-end tracking and performance visibility.
- Monitor campaign performance in real time and optimize based on results.
6. Product Collaboration & Growth Enablement
- Act as a growth partner to Product and Data teams.
- Provide structured input on:
- Community-related product features
- Growth and conversion tools
- Tracking and attribution requirements
- Support the design of:
- Community task systems
- Incentive and reward mechanisms
- Conversion-enhancing workflows
- Translate community growth needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
7. Process, Documentation & Risk Management
- Build and continuously optimize SOPs for:
- Community governance
- Growth campaigns
- Risk and issue escalation
- Maintain high standards of documentation, compliance, and operational hygiene.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above. Strong preference for Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative / science-based disciplines.
- 3–6+ years of experience in:
- Growth, acquisition, or conversion-focused roles
- External communities or platform-based growth environments
- Proven experience managing or scaling large communities (10,000+ users).
- Strong interest or background in:
- Sports communities
- Sports betting or performance-driven platforms
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Lead strategy, not just execution
- Build and interpret data dashboards independently
- Drive measurable growth and conversion impact
