About the Role
We're looking for a Community Engagement Lead who can bridge the gap between data and creativity, someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, social listening, and storytelling. This role combines the rigor of performance marketing with the emotional intelligence of community building, driving growth and engagement across our owned and earned social platforms. You will lead the pod that serves as the connective tissue between data, culture, and community, ensuring that every post, partnership, and conversation brings value to both fans and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
- Lead the development and execution of the multi-channel community growth strategy across Netflix Philippines priority platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, and X, as well as emerging platforms such as Roblox and Twitch.
- Balance data-driven decision-making and creative experimentation to deliver measurable channel growth, utilizing both organic and paid efforts.
- Utilize data, trendspotting, and intuition to test, learn, and refine our approach across campaigns and day-to-day social programming.
- Design quarterly engagement and growth roadmaps and targets, ensuring consistency and evolution of strategy across touchpoints.
Data, Insights & Social Listening
- Oversee social analytics and sentiment tracking across owned and earned platforms to understand what Filipinos care about, and how they talk about us, translating insights into actionable strategies and tactics.
- Regularly evaluate content, community sentiment, and campaign performance, sharing learnings and recommendations.
Community & Influencer Ecosystem
- Lead community management and audience development across platforms, ensuring brand voice and responsiveness are authentic, timely, and engaging.
- Manage the influencer and creator pipeline, from discovery and partnerships to performance tracking, aligned with growth & engagement goals.
- Work closely with influencers and talents to co-create lo-fi, culture-forward content concepts that build affinity and participation.
Paid Media & Amplification
- Collaborate with internal and external media teams to design and optimize paid boosting strategies for social content.
- Integrate learnings from paid performance back into organic strategy and creative development.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Support the Head of Newsroom in building and managing the community pod, including Social Insights Analysts and Community Managers.
- Establish metrics of success for engagement, growth, and sentiment, and champion these within the broader Newsroom team.
- Facilitate cross-functional learning by sharing audience insights, best practices, and innovative trends, bringing a point of view on what's working, what's changing, and what's next in Filipino fandom culture.
Who You Are
- Passionate about Filipino audiences, pop culture, and stories that spark connection.
- A strategic thinker with a strong analytical foundation and deep understanding of platform algorithms, metrics, and audience behavior.
- Equally creative and curious, with an instinct for cultural moments and storytelling that resonates.
- Experienced in social listening tools, influencer management platforms, and analytics dashboards (e.g., Sprinklr, Meltwater, Brandwatch, or equivalent).
- Skilled at translating data into creative insight and creative ideas into measurable results.
- 6+ years of experience in social media strategy, community management, digital marketing, or audience development.
