Role Overview
SME for nonstandard incentives: triage and advise on incentive requests, maintain playbooks and training material, produce quarterly trend reports, and spend 50% time on MFC shortfalls/proactive outreach
Primary Task/Responsibilities
- Triage and review nonstandard incentive cases submitted by AEs/Deal Strategists; determine supportability and next steps
- Maintain and update Incentives playbooks, spinup docs, standard vs nonstandard guides, and FAQs
- Advise Deal Strategy on implementable incentive structures and edge cases; escalate legal/compliance when required
- Manage SFDC cases and Jira incentive trackers; follow up with Deal Strategists to close process gaps (missed tickets, contract errors)
- Generate quarterly reports on nonstandard incentive requests and surface trends/actionable insights
- Resolve adhoc inquiries from Deal Strategy and contribute to weekly backlog reviews (3x/week with Ramya / Andreea)
- Allocate 50% of time to MFC shortfalls/proactive outreach tasks per the shared role agreement (see Commercial Analyst role for more details)

- Internal GBS teams (e.g., Deal Strategists, Commercial Operations, User Billing (Snowflake billing team), Legal/Compliance (as needed)
- Commercial Solutions Program Manager
Must Have Skills
- Proven experience supporting deal structuring and working directly with AEs/Deal Strategy
- Strong case triage and coordination: queue management, stakeholder followup, SLA awareness
- Clear written advisory skills and documentation ability (playbooks, FAQs)
- Salesforce proficiency (Cases, Accounts, Opportunities; ability to find context and artifacts)
- Advanced Google Sheets / Excel skills for reporting and analysis
- Ability to interpret complex commercial asks and propose practical, supportable solutions
- Comfortable making independent recommendations with limited supervision
Must Have Tools
- Salesforce (Cases, Accounts, Opportunities, Reports, Dashboards)
- Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Word
- Jira (viewing incentive tracking requests)

Skills
- Domain knowledge in accounting, incentives, or commercial constructs
- Ability to build Salesforce reports/dashboards
- Legal, risk, or compliance familiarity to assess policy exceptions
- Process improvement and documentation design experience
- Basic BI skills (Looker/Data Studio) for richer reporting
Tools
- Data Studio (connected to Snowflake) for advanced trend reporting.
- Confluence/Jira admin experience for streamlining trackers.
- Google Apps Script or other simple automation tools to reduce manual reporting overhead.
- Highspot advanced usage for enablement asset management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in a sales operations support role within a tech environment
- Hands-on experience with sales approval processes
- Proficiency in approval tools, especially Smartsheets and Jira
- Salesforce Case experience (including reporting, not just data entry)
- Proven ability to own and deliver both manual and automated processes
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Sound business judgment and ownership mindset
- Experience in high-growth tech companies, operating in lean, fast-paced environments
