About the Role

As a Collections Officer (SB Rental Corporation), you are responsible for overseeing the Collection Section of SBRC Operations, focusing on timely and accurate collection of rental payments and other receivables of the company. You will ensure timely follow-up and resolution of delinquent accounts, including the handling of remedial cases for referral to legal and/or coordination with SBC RMD. You will also maintain compliance with company policies and fosters positive relationships with co-employees and clients to achieve the objectives of the organization.

How you'll contribute

  • Supervise the daily activities and performance of Collection staff, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Monitors rental payments received from clients daily, verifying accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Ensures that payments received via Auto Debit Collection Module are correct and accurate.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate transmission of statement of accounts, collection letters to clients with missed rental payments, maintaining clear communication and follow-up in coordination with the handling SO of the account.
  • Ensures that PDCs monitoring are updated and accurate.
  • Conducts field visits to past due clients as needed.
  • Refer past due accounts to Remedial and/or Legal and monitors the status of
  • Upholds strict compliance with SB Rental Corporation's collections and remedial policies, fostering adherence across the section.
  • Ensures that assigned Leasewave roles are managed timely and accurately.
  • Address audit and compliance requirements as needed.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

What we're looking for

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Commerce
  • With at least 3 years of relevant experience in collection, remedial management, and foreclosure
  • Demonstrates expertise in credit and collections management, including the effective handling of problematic accounts and coordination with external parties such as collection agencies, legal counsel, courts, and repossession teams
  • Communicates efficiently and professionally with stakeholders both within and outside the organization
