As an Application Support Engineer, you will spend your day investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. Your role involves careful analysis and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation and minimal disruption. You will collaborate with different teams to maintain system stability and support ongoing business activities effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Document findings and solutions to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
- Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with IBM Db2, IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database.
- Strong understanding of mainframe environments and batch processing.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to analyze logs and system outputs to identify root causes of problems.
Shift Schedule: Mid Shift 2pm to 12mn
Work Set up: Hybrid
Number of days in a month or week that needs to be in the office: 2 days a week
