- Previous experience working in a DevOps/Platform Engineering/SRE environment, ideally as a DevOps/CloudEng/PlatEng/SRE engineer
- An ability to implement scalable solutions: know how to design systems that go from small to big
- Experience configuring and managing AWS environments
- Experience working with pipelines that deploy to AWS
- Strong communicator, able to engage with technical team members such as developers and administrators, while also explaining complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Previous experience as a sysadmin/operations team member, or being the person who gets called when things break
- Experience with Continuous Integration, TDD, Agile, Lean and other engineering and delivery practices
- Endlessly passionate about automation
- High Proficiency in SQL and database design and management in a public cloud
- A good understanding of multiple programming languages with the ability to adapt to new languages
- Eager to work in an environment which allows you to showcase your devotion to Continuous Delivery/Deployment and all the tools and practices needed to achieve this
- Passionate about modern software development in it's various flavours
Minimum Qualifications
It would be beneficial to have experience with one or more of the following:
- Programming: Typescript, Javascript, Python, Bash
- Atlassian: JIRA, Confluence
- Automation: Github Actions, GoCD
- Amazon Web Services: Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS (and Docker), EC2, VPC, RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), CloudFormation, CDK
- Load and stress testing
- Development on high volume systems
- Billing/account and e-commerce systems
- ITiIncident and problem management
