What You'll Do
- Design and plan the architecture of cloud-based solutions, considering factors like scalability, availability, and security.
- This may involve selecting the appropriate cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services.
- Deploy and configure cloud services and resources according to the architecture design. This includes setting up virtual machines, storage, networking, key vaults and databases.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to manage and provision cloud resources. This often involves using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep or Terraform.
- Ensure that cloud infrastructure can scale according to the organization's needs. This may involve load balancing, auto-scaling, and other strategies to handle increased workloads.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with security standards and regulations.
Key Criteria
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools to manage cloud resources Proven experience (5+ years) as a Cloud Administrator or similar role.
- Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, VPN's and network security groups.
- Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools for securing cloud environments.
- IaC (Infrastructure as Code): Familiarity with IaC tools like Bicep, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Cloud Service Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure or others.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Experience with cloud monitoring and optimization tools to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.
Work setup
- Manila (BGC, Taguig): Philippines business hours (6 am 3 pm). The working setup will be hybrid with 3 days/week in the office.
