The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud technology solutions that meet the business needs within MediCard. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical aspects, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry's best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation and best practices.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure features and technologies to continuously improve solutions.
- Manage, own, and update Azure Cloud Landing Zone
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Required:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., VPN, VNet, Load Balancers).
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.
Work Location: AIA Head Office, Makati City
Work Set-Up: Hybrid, 3-4 days onsite per week
