Overview
The Client Insights Analyst supports the Best Practice Team in delivering data-driven insights, reports, and recommendations to US-based Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients. This role partners closely with Client Insights Managers (CIMs) to translate syndicated data into actionable business stories that drive category growth and sales performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with syndicated data (Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Kantar, etc.), strong analytical and visualization skills, and a passion for uncovering insights that influence category management, pricing, distribution, and competitive strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Client Insights Managers to deliver reporting, analyses, and insights that support clients strategic objectives in the US CPG market.
  • Develop and maintain standardized Excel and PowerPoint reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations.
  • Transfer, process, and structure data into client-ready formats that support Category Reviews, Seller Stories, and Performance Updates.
  • Analyze syndicated data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges across distribution, pricing, velocity, competitive sets, and category performance.
  • Support test & learn initiatives by contributing to test scoping, measurement frameworks, and post-analysis summaries.
  • Participate in storyboarding and insight development, helping transform complex data into clear, actionable narratives for clients.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of deliverables.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives within the Best Practice Team by helping design and improve processes for recurring reporting and data workflows.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a client, consulting, or market research environment, ideally within the US CPG or Retail industry.
  • Familiarity with US retail channels (grocery, mass, convenience, e-commerce).
  • Prior experience working with syndicated data sources (Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Kantar, GfK, etc.) required.
  • Strong understanding of category management concepts, including distribution, pricing, velocity, share, and competitive set analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, automation) and PowerPoint (data storytelling, visual reporting).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear, insight-led stories.
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across global and local teams.
Preferred:
  • Experience in storyboarding, testing scoping, or measurement design.
  • Exposure to automation or data visualization tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar).
  • Natural industry or CPG client experience is a plus.
