Trident Trust Philippines is looking to hire more Accountant and/or Senior Accountant.

The Role

Along with a team of client accountants, the applicant with be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports of trust and corporate client entities.

Duties

Timely and accurate maintenance of financial reports of client entities, working in close consultation with the responsible administrator, including:

  • Ensuring accounting records are accurately updated on a timely basis to meet deadlines
  • Handling the full set of bookkeeping functions (monthly reconciliation of bank balances and securities quantity balances, recording payments of invoices, etc.)
  • Revaluing year-end balances (e.g., foreign currency revaluation; calculate and post fair value adjustments for investments)
  • Preparing simple or full set of financial statements (e.g., monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual) with proper working papers (e.g., bank statements reconciliations, investment schedules, etc.)
  • Monitoring and following up with administrators for client entity transactions such as supporting documents for accounting entries (e.g., NAV statements of privately held investments, cash surrender value of insurance policies, etc.)
  • Liaising with administrators (and auditors and tax agents, as necessary) to obtain and provide information that enables companies to meet statutory filing deadlines
  • Assisting on specific projects and tasks as assigned from time to time

Skills and Knowledge

  • CPA designation is an advantage
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in client accounting and taxation is an advantage
  • Excellent bookkeeping and reconciliation abilities
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and other financial reports
  • Excellent financial analysis and numeracy skills, plus attention to detail
  • Proficiency in oral and written English
  • Ability to work with team members, administrators and clients to meet tight deadlines
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word; experience in using Viewpoint or related accounting systems is an advantage
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with a can do attitude

Remuneration
