Civil Works Officer

About the role

Responsible for ensuring that ground and building civil works structural facilities of ATI South Harbor (SH) are maintained in good and safe working condition by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on a timely basis.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitors daily activities on repair, maintenance and construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, applicable codes and appropriate construction practice.
• Prepares and submits monthly and annual accomplishment report to PPA in terms of SH facilities repair and maintenance projects.
• Coordinates with business units their requests and the schedule of repair, maintenance and construction projects.
• Prepares design, plan and cost estimate of repair and maintenance projects and endorses to Manager or end user for approval.
• Conducts pre-bid meeting, evaluates quotations and endorses project awarding.
• Produces and maintains AutoCAD drawings of various South Harbor facilities plans.
• Oversees the functions of subordinates to ensure that maintenance programs are executed in the most efficient and timely manner.
• Ensures that all equipments and safety gears are in good operational condition by conducting inspection, preventive maintenance and observing proper storage.
• Prepares cost estimates of repair and maintenance projects for budget preparation.
• Reviews and endorses to Engineering Analyst any changes in work procedures.
• Attends meetings with concerned parties to discuss concerns regarding project progress, health, safety and environmental issues.
• Submits safety observations per month and ensures compliance of assigned Engineering area to 5s standards.
• Conducts toolbox meetings to orient workers regarding safety practices and proper execution of civil works.
• Ensures implementation of health, safety and environmental standards by monitoring compliance of subordinates in wearing Personnel Protective Equipments (PPE).

Qualifications Skills and Experience

• Graduate of Civil Engineering
• Knowledgeable in port operations project
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Driver's License
