We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer, Aviation
Main Activities and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Deliver civil engineering design requirements for aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with international and local standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA).
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate closely with project managers and team leads to achieve project objectives.
- Experience in project management, design management, site inspections and investigations and airport construction is desirable, but not mandatory
- Prepare detailed design documentation, reports, and technical specifications
- Manage assigned tasks including planning, analysis, design, and production of engineering drawings for aviation-specific civil works:
- Experienced in aviation specific design and design programs
- Airside pavements (FAARFIELD, APSDS, PCASE, COMFAA)
- Airside Planning (AviPlan Pro)
- Vertical Geometry (Civil3d, OpenRoads or 12d)
- Apron lighting (AGi32)
- Aeronautical Ground Lighting
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ensure adherence to design standards, quality procedures, and relevant codes for aviation projects.
- Contribute to company objectives and uphold policies related to safety, sustainability, and quality.
- Apply knowledge of Digital Engineering, BIM workflows, and sustainability principles to enhance project delivery.
- Perform tasks assigned by discipline leads or project managers aligned with experience and qualifications.
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):
- BS in Civil Engineering Degree
- At least 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
- Strong technical expertise in civil design for aviation infrastructure.
- Familiarity with airfield pavement design, grading, drainage, and geometric layout.
- Experience of geometric design of airports (e.g Civil 3D, 12D, Open Roads, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Aviplan) and BIM tools.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Projects is also desirable.
- Understanding of sustainability principles and digital workflows in aviation projects.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary environments.
- Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes with emphasis on road safety outcomes.
