What you'll do:
This role is responsible for effectively, efficiently, and proactively undertaking civil engineering designs and documentation across a range of projects The position reports directly to the Head of Engineering and has no direct reports.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Preparation of civil engineering designs, specifications, models and supporting documentation.
- Providing civil engineering designs and services which are fit for purpose, practical, cost effective, comply with relevant design and regulatory standards, and comply with WHS and Quality Control requirements.
- Undertake and assist in the preparation of quotations, Tenders and Bills of Quantities.
- Work closely with team members to clarify design, drafting and/or documentation issues throughout the design, documentation and construction phases of projects.
- Accurately recording project and timesheet information.
- Liaising with clients and attending client meetings where required.
- Proactively plan, manage, coordinate, track and run assigned projects tasks.
- Provide regular project reviews and reporting to the Engineering Manager and/or Directors as required.
- Conduct thorough self-checking and the checking of information, drawings and documentation undertaken by others.
- Liaising, coordinating and management of clients, subconsultants and contractors.
- Foster relationships with key clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and government.
- Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with the company's systems, policies and procedures.
- Maintaining project files and keeping documentation in order.
- Undertake other tasks as delegated by the Engineering Manager and/or Directors.
- Provide technical advice to management, staff and clients.
- Supervision, management and development of staff reporting to the position for tasks and projects.
- Undertake site inspections and visits as required.
- Attend and participate in client meetings.
- Perform general office duties as required.
- Attend industry training and work-related seminars / forums to acquire required continued professional development.
- Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
- Implement, participate and promote Company Policies, processes and procedures
Successful candidate must have:
- 2+ years of previous relevant civil engineering design experience within a consultancy or local government, or equivalent.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and 12D.
- Good level of civil engineering design software skills and knowledge.
- Certificate III in Drafting Trades, Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or University Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia, or equivalent. (Nice to have)
- Ability to work well both autonomously and within a team environment.

Work Arrangements:
- Schedule: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm PHT
- Work Setup: Onsite Arrangement - Be part of a collaborative and energetic team in a professional office environment.
