You produce accurate civil engineering models and quantity takeoffs that directly inform project bids and execution for a U.S.-based client. Your work ensures that engineering data, site quantities, and cost inputs are reliable, structured, and aligned with defined project scopes and specifications.

This role operates within clear workflows and deadlines, using CAD and estimation tools to translate plans into measurable outputs.

You collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders but are ultimately accountable for the accuracy and completeness of your deliverables. Best suited for detail-oriented professionals who prefer structured tasks, technical depth, and measurable outputs over ambiguous work.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• At least 2+ years of experience in civil engineering modeling, drafting, or estimating roles
• Hands-on experience producing 2D/3D models and performing quantity takeoffs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Agtek, and Bluebeam
• Proven experience handling cut-and-fill analysis, subgrade calculations, and site balancing
• Experience working with engineering drawings, specifications, and PDF-based takeoffs when CAD files are unavailable
• Exposure to structured project environments with defined workflows, documentation, and QA standards
• Willingness to work night shift (11:00 PM–9:00 AM) and operate in a fully remote setup

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Civil Modeling & Drafting

You convert engineering plans into precise digital models that serve as the foundation for estimation and execution.

• Develop and modify 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit
• Produce surface and linework models in required formats with control points
• Execute quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards

Quantity Takeoffs & Site Analysis

You generate accurate site quantities that directly impact bid quality and project planning.

• Perform horizontal and 3D takeoffs using Bluebeam and Agtek
• Calculate cut-and-fill volumes, excavation scope, and site balancing
• Extract quantities from CAD files or PDFs and align with engineered specifications

Estimation Support & Cost Inputs

You translate technical data into structured inputs used for project costing and bid preparation.

• Populate estimating bid forms with quantified scope items
• Deliver takeoffs and progress measurements for active projects
• Generate cut-to-fill maps with labeled quantities for field use

Vendor Coordination & Quote Management

You ensure required pricing inputs are collected and organized to support complete estimates.

• Identify material and subcontractor requirements per project scope
• Send quote requests and track responses
• Organize and maintain quote documentation within project systems

Documentation & Workflow Accuracy

You maintain clear, traceable records that support consistency and auditability.

• Update tracking files to reflect takeoff progress and completion
• Maintain structured documentation of quantities, revisions, and assumptions
• Apply consistent standards across all deliverables
