Overview
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring that all
accounting functions are executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and in line with best practices. This position
plays a critical role in financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and overseeing accounting staff. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Financial Reporting
Key Result Area/Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash
flow statements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate audits with external auditors and manage audit timelines and documentation.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and supervise the accounting department, including managing accountants and support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and development for team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Taxation
- Oversee preparation and filing of all tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and handle any tax audits or inquiries.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
- Ensure that financial systems and software are functioning optimally and that data integrity is maintained.
- Recommend improvements for accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability
reviews, and investment assessments.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Performing other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA (Certified Public
Accountant) designation is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
