Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chef de Partie role based in Makati. The Chef de Partie will oversee a specific kitchen section, ensuring dishes are prepared consistently, efficiently, and in line with Seda's culinary standards and presentation guidelines. The role includes supervising and guiding kitchen staff within the section, monitoring food quality and portioning, and coordinating with other kitchen sections and the Sous Chef or Executive Chef to ensure smooth service flow. The Chef de Partie will also manage stock levels and ingredient requisitions for the section, uphold proper food handling and hygiene practices, and assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff. The position requires adherence to Seda's service standards, including upholding food safety, sanitation, and confidentiality protocols at all times.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates strong culinary skills and section-leadership ability, with the ability to guide, coordinate, and hold kitchen staff accountable while maintaining consistency and precision in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role within a luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or equivalent high-end establishment.
  • Proven experience in food preparation, plating, and quality control, with a strong eye for consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipe standards.
  • Proficient in kitchen administration, including stock requisition, inventory monitoring, and coordination with other kitchen sections and service staff.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Filipino is required for coordinating with kitchen staff and reporting to management.
  • Strong ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, with excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and proper kitchen equipment handling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
