Job Description

Pioneer Insurance is currently looking for Certified Public Accountants for the following open positions in our Shared Financials Organization.

General Ledger (GL) Accountant

The GL Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and ensuring accurate, timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements specific to the non-life insurance industry. The role collaborates closely with various teams to support operational accounting functions, reconciliations and monthly closing activities while ensuring the accuracy of key financial data.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
  • With minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the auditing or accounting of non-life insurance sector or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific systems) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Insurance Commission (IC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reporting requirements.

Financial Reports Senior Assistant

The Non-Life Financial Accountant supports the financial reports team by assisting in the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with insurance accounting regulations, and providing audit support. This role plays a vital part in managing financial transactions and supporting financial reporting for non-life insurance business operations. The position reports directly to the GL Accountant.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy.
  • With minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the auditing or accounting of non-life insurance sector or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific systems) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Insurance Commission (IC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reporting requirements.
  • Expertise in GL Management, reconciliations and closing processes

Senior Tax Accountant (Non-Life)

The Senior Tax Accountant will play a critical role in in ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations, managing tax reporting, supporting tax planning initiatives, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. This position will assist in handling BIR audits, preparing tax filings, advising on tax-related matters, and driving process improvements. The position reports directly to the Non-Life Tax Accountant Team Lead.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in accountancy.
  • CPA is an advantage.
  • With minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax compliance in the Philippines, preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations and tax compliance requirements.
  • Experience in tax preparation software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
