GoQuant is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage all internal finance operations across our global group of entities. This role is ideal for someone who can own the company's financial backbone end-to-end including bookkeeping, internal reporting, external coordination, and supporting strategic decision-making.
You will work directly with the leadership team to maintain financial discipline, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and support growth across several international entities.
Responsibilities:
- Core Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage cross-entity bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records across all GoQuant entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated reporting.
- Oversee transaction recording, reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance-ready bookkeeping.
- Maintain proper documentation of all expenses, receipts, reimbursements, and corporate spend.
Revenue, Billing & Invoicing:
- Manage client invoicing, subscription billing, and Alpha Share calculations (with support from internal systems).
- Track collections, accounts receivable, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Work with product and operations teams to align revenue tracking with platform usage.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Prepare management reporting, cost analyses, and recommendations for expense optimization.
- Build cash-flow forecasts, revenue projections, and budget models.
- Provide insights to support decision-making, pricing analysis, and board-level reporting.
Coordination With External Providers:
- Work closely with external accountants, bookkeepers, auditors, and tax advisors across jurisdictions.
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and compliance obligations.
- Ensure proper intercompany accounting and documentation for all entities.
Investor Readiness & Corporate Administration:
- Prepare and maintain the financial data room for investor due diligence.
- Manage entity financial accounts: opening/maintaining bank accounts, credit cards, payment facilities, etc.
- Oversee and run payroll, contractor payments, and related compliance.
- Assist in vendor onboarding, contract review from a financial perspective, and internal controls establishment.
Additional Duties:
- Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
- Monitor treasury, cash balances, and capital allocation across entities.
- Maintain internal policies for expense controls, approvals, and record retention.
- Support the CEO and President with special financial projects, models, and analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
- CPA (any jurisdiction) strongly preferred but not required.
- 3+ years experience in accounting, controllership, or financial operations.
- Experience with multi-entity bookkeeping (U.S., offshore, or international experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling.
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and ability to handle sensitive financial data.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly.
