We are seeking a CPA from a Big 4 firm who brings strong financial acumen and a strategic, business-focused mindset to take full ownership of product performance, growth, and profitability. While the position title is Business Analyst, the role goes far beyond traditional product analysis you will act as a business owner, using financial insight and strategic thinking to drive impactful initiatives. You will evaluate the economics behind payments, challenge assumptions, and lead projects that optimize profitability while strengthening our position in the payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Business Analyst for an open-loop business, owning end-to-end performance, profitability, and operational control.
- Understand and manage the P&L by tracking revenues, costs, margins, and key business drivers.
- Use data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting to drive business strategies and decision-making.
- Identify growth opportunities and operational optimizations using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Risk, Finance, Operations, and Tech to ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Develop a deep understanding of the open-loop payment ecosystem, customer behavior, and market trends.
- Drive initiatives to boost adoption, increase transaction volumes, and enhance overall customer experience.
Requirements
- CPA with 12 years of experience, ideally trained in a Big 4 audit firm or a similarly rigorous environment.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess profitability, and make strategic decisions.
- Required: Experience or exposure to payments, payment ecosystems, or fintech.
- Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset proactive, curious, and results-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- Product management experience is a plus but not required.
