Job Description
The CCTV Operations Officer implements the day-to-day CCTV surveillance operations and other CCTV functions. This role also supervises the performance of all CCTV operators, contributes to incident management and investigation, loss prevention, and detection.
Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise the daily CCTV monitoring and surveillance being conducted by the CCTV Operators in the Command Center.
Take part in the incident management by reporting all incidents, breaches, or alarms raised by the CCTV operators.
Supervise the conduct of CCTV functionality checks.
Manage CCTV extraction request.
Maintain close collaboration with other members of SPX Security, Hub Leads, Area Leads and of other SPX teams.
Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and company information security policies.
Maintain accurate records of CCTV tech activities for purposes of data analytics.
Requirements
Educational Background & Certifications Requirement
Must be a college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (BSIT) or any related field.
Relevant IT or CCTV-related certifications (if any) will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirement
Must have at least one (1) year of hands-on experience in IT support, CCTV installation, maintenance, or related technical tasks.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware, network devices, and CCTV systems is preferred.
Knowledge And Skills
- In-depth knowledge of CCTV systems, including IP/analog cameras, NVRs/CVRs, servers, and video management software (e.g., HikCentral, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure related to surveillance systems (LAN/WAN, VLANs, IP configuration, routing, and bandwidth management).
- Familiarity with system integration between CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Knowledge of data storage, backup, and retention policies for video surveillance.
- Ability to supervise, and support CCTV technicians in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Skilled in monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for overseeing multiple sites simultaneously.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for hardware, software, and network-related CCTV issues.
- Capability to analyze incident reports and system logs to identify patterns and recommend improvements.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with IT, security, vendors, and management teams.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, documentation, and operational summaries for management review.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and data privacy regulations related to surveillance systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with ticketing or monitoring systems.
