The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing a category plan to bring growth in sales, margins and profitability through;
- Market, customer and competitor analysis
- Product range development
- Supplier negotiations
- Trade promotions and activities
- Basic store merchandising
- Potential business growth drivers (internal and external) identification.
Role focuses on:
- Supplier management through collaborative category promotions and plans that will result in increased market share and positive sales and margin growth, and 100% completion of TTAs according to agreed timelines.
- Business development through quarterly review and analysis of the market dynamics, development and implementation of category-building programs resulting in positive sales and margins and increased market share according to agreed metrics and periodic assessment of competitors activities, pricing, and promo initiatives.
