Position Summary:
The Buyer sources, negotiates, and purchases materials or products to support operational needs. The role includes evaluating suppliers, managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliveries in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adequate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define purchasing needs and specifications.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or invoices.
- Monitor market trends, supplier conditions, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 23 years of work experience in merchandising, buying, or related retail functions.
- Familiarity with retail/merchandising systems is an advantage.
