Mission
The Project Buyer plays a key role in supporting the Procurement Manager Japan by managing daily interactions with the Japanese supply chain, focusing on commercial negotiations, supplier engagement, and procurement operations.
Main Responsibilities
Includes But Not Limited To The Following
Supplier Sourcing & Procurement Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for equipment, systems and services.Negotiation: Securing favorable commercial and contractual conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers in collaboration with Technical, Legal, Procurement teams and headquarter in France.Procurement OperationsPrepare and issue purchase orders or contracts.Supplier Relationship Management- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply.
- Contract & Payment Oversight
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual terms and conditions are properly implemented.
- Follow up the payment process.
- Post Order activities
- Track supplier performance from purchase order issuance to contractual deliveries are executed.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet project requirements.
Profile
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Economy, Supply Chain Management or related Business Degree. Master degree is a plus.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or railway industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, flexible, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience in working in multicultural teams and/or in overseas projects.
- Adaptable towards a rapidly changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Languages: Fluency in English and Japanese, a third language is a plus.
