The role is to provide support on Finance & Accounting-related secondments and Business Transformation (BT) engagements / projects. The role shall be responsible for the (1) conducting process understandings, gap analysis, and providing solutions and recommendations for BT projects, and/or (2) execution of the scope of work for secondment arrangements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the development of work/engagement plan, engagement deliverables.
- Provide support in the preparation of proposals, bids, quotations, etc.
- Collaborate with the engagement team during the engagement planning process, project execution and closing activities.
- Actively participate in engagement planning to understand the client and/or project requirements, related roles and responsibilities, deliverables and other relevant activities.
- Perform process understanding activities through interviews, walkthroughs, observations, FGDs, whichever is applicable (virtual and in-person)
- Document current and future state in-scope processes using various techniques (Process maps, value stream mapping, flowchart).
- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement, gaps and trends based on the applicable and relevant leading practices and standards. Perform data analysis and data analytics.
- Draft appropriate solutions and recommendations to reduce gaps and mitigate identified risks.
- Communicate with the stakeholders or appropriate process owners to validate identified gaps and recommendations.
- Attend and actively participate in team and client meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Provide administrative and logistical support in the execution of the project plan
- Comply with KPMG policies, practices, and professional standards.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through involvement in external and internal training activities, conducting research, reading articles and thought leadership, etc.
- Collaborate with other KPMG network to capitalize opportunities for growth and development.
- Provide support to KPMG clients requiring staff augmentations based on the agreed scope of work.
- Any other duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Position Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Industrial Engineering or related field
- With trainings and/or certifications related to Risks and Controls
- With relevant experience in Finance and Accounting functions
- Holder of any Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
Technical Competencies:
The applicant is expected to have the following:
- knowledge on (a) process mapping or flowcharting, (b) interviewing process owners or stakeholders, and (c) data analysis / analytics
- Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other transformation methodologies Intermediate to Advanced skills on Visio, Excel and Powerpoint skills (and/or other flowcharting tools)
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Keen on details / Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
