Job Description

The role is to provide support on Finance & Accounting-related secondments and Business Transformation (BT) engagements / projects. The role shall be responsible for the (1) conducting process understandings, gap analysis, and providing solutions and recommendations for BT projects, and/or (2) execution of the scope of work for secondment arrangements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support in the development of work/engagement plan, engagement deliverables.
  2. Provide support in the preparation of proposals, bids, quotations, etc.
  3. Collaborate with the engagement team during the engagement planning process, project execution and closing activities.
  4. Actively participate in engagement planning to understand the client and/or project requirements, related roles and responsibilities, deliverables and other relevant activities.
  5. Perform process understanding activities through interviews, walkthroughs, observations, FGDs, whichever is applicable (virtual and in-person)
  6. Document current and future state in-scope processes using various techniques (Process maps, value stream mapping, flowchart).
  7. Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement, gaps and trends based on the applicable and relevant leading practices and standards. Perform data analysis and data analytics.
  8. Draft appropriate solutions and recommendations to reduce gaps and mitigate identified risks.
  9. Communicate with the stakeholders or appropriate process owners to validate identified gaps and recommendations.
  10. Attend and actively participate in team and client meetings (virtual and in-person)
  11. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations
  12. Provide administrative and logistical support in the execution of the project plan
  13. Comply with KPMG policies, practices, and professional standards.
  14. Continuously improve skills and knowledge through involvement in external and internal training activities, conducting research, reading articles and thought leadership, etc.
  15. Collaborate with other KPMG network to capitalize opportunities for growth and development.
  16. Provide support to KPMG clients requiring staff augmentations based on the agreed scope of work.
  17. Any other duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

Position Specifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Industrial Engineering or related field
  2. With trainings and/or certifications related to Risks and Controls
  3. With relevant experience in Finance and Accounting functions
  4. Holder of any Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)

Technical Competencies:

The applicant is expected to have the following:

  1. knowledge on (a) process mapping or flowcharting, (b) interviewing process owners or stakeholders, and (c) data analysis / analytics
  2. Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other transformation methodologies Intermediate to Advanced skills on Visio, Excel and Powerpoint skills (and/or other flowcharting tools)
  3. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
  4. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  5. Keen on details / Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
  6. Advanced business writing, report writing, presentation and research skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Good listening skills.
  8. Works well with teams.
  9. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
  10. Knowledge on Finance processes such as Record to Report, Quote to Cash, Source to Pay, etc.
  11. With knowledge or experience in SAP, Oracle or any ERP software.
