Job Description

Job Summary: As a Techno-Functional Analyst supporting the entire Avaloq Core Banking System, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing ACP, RMWP, AFP, including supporting FixPack upgrades and resolving technical issues that arise from system updates. You will work closely with business and tech to interpret functional requirements and translate them into robust Avaloq parameterizations and scripts, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will provide technical support across various Avaloq modules and external system integrations, conduct code reviews, and produce high-quality documentation to uphold development best practices and system reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • FixPack Upgrade Support: Assist in planning, executing, and validating Avaloq FixPack upgrades. Identify and resolve invalid objects and inconsistencies resulting from the upgrade process to ensure system stability and compliance.
  • Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business and tech analysts/stakeholders to understand functional requirements. Translate these into scalable and maintainable Avaloq solutions using parameterization and scripting.
  • Avaloq Development (ACP, RMWP, AFP): Design, develop, test, and maintain Avaloq parameterizations, including data objects, workflows, and business rules. Ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Module Support and Troubleshooting (ACP, RMWP, AFP): Provide technical support across various Avaloq modules (e.g., STEX, Security Event, Client Onboarding, Task and Reporting, amongst other things). Diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • External System Integration: Support and troubleshoot interfaces between Avaloq and external systems such as Finacle, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational integrity.
  • Support and Troubleshoot Avaloq-related services and deploy them on OpenShift.
  • Quality Assurance and Documentation: Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and produce high-quality technical documentation including solution designs, test cases, and deployment guides.

Required Skills:

  • Professional Experience (minimum of 2 years): Hands-on experience as an Avaloq Developer, with a proven track record of delivering robust solutions in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills (minimum of 5 years): Ability to analyze complex business and technical problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them efficiently.
  • Communication and Collaboration (minimum of 5 years): Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.
  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation, reporting, and performance tuning.
  • In-depth knowledge of Avaloq Core Platform Modules, including but not limited to STEX, Security Event, Client Onboarding, Task and Reporting, etc.
  • Experience with Avaloq Interfaces such as AMI (Avaloq Message Interface) and CAPI (Core API) for system integration and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms for container orchestration and application deployment.
  • Expert or Advanced knowledge in Oracle Database or equivalent RDBMS
  • Expert or advanced knowledge with Avaloq platform (3-5 years) with exposure to kernel / product functionalities is a plus
  • Data analytics / science experience
  • Avaloq Certified Professional or equivalent certification is a plus.
