What Makes This Role Exciting

The Business Resilience & Crisis Response Manager is a key member of the Compliance - Enterprise Risk Team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilience, business continuity, and crisis response capabilities for CloudPay globally. This role ensures the coordination of communications and resources to enable uninterrupted payroll processing, statutory compliance, data integrity, and customer confidence during operational disruptions, cyber incidents, vendor failures, natural disasters, or other crisis events.

The role will also be responsible for travel security for key personnel and working with HR, Property and Marketing teams for site and large events.

The position requires close collaboration across technology, security operations, business operations, compliance, legal, HR, Finance, Marketing, Property, Data Privacy and service partners to safeguard critical payroll and business functions to meet regulatory, contractual and business obligations.

Main Responsibilities

Business Resilience, Continuity & Travel Security

  • Maintain CloudPay s Business Continuity Management System to ISO22301 standards
  • Lead business impact analyses (BIA) and resilience risk assessments across functions.
  • Work with stakeholders to define recovery strategies, recovery time objectives (RTOs), and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for critical processes.
  • Ensure resilience plans are aligned with CloudPay strategy, regulatory requirements, contractual commitments and risk appetite.
  • Ensure appropriate travel security advice is available and consider crisis event planning as needed.
  • Working with compliance and Cyber security teams to ensure appropriate awareness training is provided to employees, partners and suppliers.

Crisis Management & Response

  • Own the crisis management framework, including escalation criteria, governance, and decision-making structures.
  • Ensure close relationship is established with SecOps, Corporate IT, Technology & Data Privacy incident response teams to enable timely escalation of events of interest / incidents.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to coordinate response to major incidents and crises, serving as a central point of orchestration.
  • Facilitate executive level crisis response teams during live incidents.
  • Conduct post incident reviews and ensure lessons learned translate into concrete improvements.

Preparedness, Testing & Awareness Training

  • Develop and run regular crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and continuity tests.
  • Train leaders, crisis team and key stakeholders on crisis roles, responsibilities, and protocols.
  • Assess readiness and maturity of crisis and resilience capabilities over time.
  • Select and maintain appropriate tools to support off network communications and store critical crisis artifacts.
  • Work with CloudPay travel management system / partner and HR to explore opportunities for improved pre-trip advice and crisis incident and reporting processes.
  • Establish Safe Travel training and situational awareness readiness + urgent crisis reporting process
  • Establish regular Geopolitical Situational Awareness reports, targeted at senior leadership audience.
  • Review contractual commitments in terms of BCP and Resilience is aligned to company policy.
  • Work with Audit ensuring appropriate artifacts are maintained and available for verification tests.
  • Ensure Annual audit findings and recommendations are communicated to Senior Leadership and Risk Committee.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with technology, security operations, business operations, facilities, procurement, HR, legal, and internal communications to ensure integrated resilience planning.
  • Support internal and external communications strategies during crises in coordination with Internal Communications and Legal.
  • Engage with third parties and service partners to assess and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting for resilience and crisis readiness.
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting for travel security and crisis readiness.
  • Maintain documentation, playbooks, and plans in line with best practices and standards.
  • Monitor emerging risks, geopolitical events, and operational threats relevant to CloudPay.

Experience Needed For This Role

  • Degree or similar qualification in business continuity, risk management or similar field
  • Extensive and senior experience in business continuity / disaster recovery / crisis management
  • Strong knowledge of BC/DR standards (e.g., ISO 22301, BCI Good Practice Guidelines, NFPA 1600).
  • Skilled communicator, able to lead cross-functional teams during high-pressure situations and coordinate across global time zones
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaborator who manages relationships at all levels with the business and translates technical concepts into actionable activity.
  • Ability to manage priority conflicts or agendas to ensure key activities to enable resilience and safety of critical assets people, property, data and systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in global service delivery environments, ideally in payroll, finance, or SaaS.
  • Certifications strongly preferred: CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer. Security certs (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus but not required.
