Role Description:
The Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) Head is primarily responsible for the management and
review of financials and business drivers to ensure the achievement of the organization's goals. These functions include annual P&L planning, forecasting of business drivers and P&L,analyzingactual financial performance, impact analysis of business initiatives, and delivering cost efficiency initiatives. The BP&A Manager is also responsible for setting up the strategy for SME segment for the bank.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing management and strategic decks / presentations for both internal and external consumption
- Work with business and HOD to be involved in strategic partnership negotiations and commercial discussions
- Responsible for managing and reviewing all settlements / invoices with key partners
- Work with business to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies to support the business growth as well asfinalizethe target setting for business initiatives
- Able to work closely with business owners tocome up withfinancial projections for all strategic initiatives which will tie back to the overall P&L and balance sheet
- Planning,implementingand managing proposed recommendations and projects.
- Responsible to periodically assess and report market trends and competitors todeterminethe relevant strategies for the bank
- Able tomonitor, report on strategic projects as well as support senior management in the decision-making process
- Identify & drive business efficiency opportunities & cost reduction initiatives across the bank to ensure achievement of committed financial targets & sustainability for the bank
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting / Finance / Business / Economics / Financial Engineering / Applied Mathematics / Actuarial Science)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry, with relevant experience in technical positions such as Finance, Risk, Analytics, or product management
- Consumer banking experience is a plus
- Understanding how information flows to recommend strategies on how to democratize and operationalize data
- In-depth knowledge of banking products and services including its inherent risks
- Excellent strategic business logic to influence strategy based on data
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
