Role Overview: The Business Operations (BizOps) Manager is a high-impact, cross-functional role designed to act as the connective tissue of the organization. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, turning data-driven insights into operational reality. You will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, designing strategic frameworks, and leading complex projects from conception to completion.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Analysis (The Strategist & BA)
- Partner with leadership to define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and North Star metrics.
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify bottlenecks, market opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.
- Translate complex data sets into actionable executive summaries and strategic recommendations.
2. Operational Excellence (The Ops Leader)
- Design, implement, and scale internal processes to improve organizational velocity.
- Audit existing workflows and introduce automation or tooling to reduce manual overhead.
- Build playbooks for recurring business functions to ensure consistency and quality as the team grows.
3. Project & Program Management (The PM)
- Lead high-priority Special Projects that don't have a natural home in a specific department (e.g., launching a new market, implementing a new CRM, or restructuring a team).
- Manage project lifecycles: defining scope, setting timelines, managing stakeholders, and ensuring delivery.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure product, sales, and finance are aligned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in Management Consulting, BizOps, Strategy, or a high-growth startup environment.
- Analytical Toolkit: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are non-negotiable. Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a strong plus.
- Problem Solving: A first-principles thinker who can break down ambiguous problems into structured components.
- Communication: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Project Management: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or standard PM tools (Asana, Jira, Monday.com).
