Your Role:
You will be responsible for the end-to-end life cycle of data-from extraction to senior-level insights. You will drive business decisions for the United Petroleum Group by transforming large retail datasets into automated, actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:- ETL & Data Architecture: Design and implement robust ETL processes to collect and interpret data from multiple databases, ensuring an accurate analytic structure.
- Advanced Querying: Create complex queries using SQL, Python, or DAX to retrieve, update, and manipulate high-volume data.
- Dashboard Automation: Assist in developing and maintaining automated dashboards that provide an end-to-end view of business KPIs.
- Insight Generation: Use Power BI and/or Tableau to detect trends and sales opportunities through consumer buying behavior analysis.
- Stakeholder Influence: Present clear, concise data to senior management, providing visualizations and statistical methodologies to influence ROI and financial performance.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Fuel Pricing, Merchandise, and Operations to optimize retail, shop sales, and maintenance data.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics (Senior level).
- Technical Stack: High proficiency in SQL and advanced knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau.
- ETL & Automation: Proven experience in building automated dashboards and managing ETL processes.
- Data Handling: Expertise in working with large, complex datasets and data visualization.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred Skills/Expertise- Industry Background: Significant experience in Retail, E-commerce, Fuel, or Store operations is highly advantageous.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong financial/numerical capacity with extensive experience in consumer data.
- Soft Skills: Excellent critical thinking and the ability to manage multiple initiatives under limited supervision.
- Tools: Familiarity with PriceNet, Kalibrate Fuels, or version control systems is a plus.
