Job Description

Position Accountability Statement

The Business Intelligence Specialist will manage and analyze large datasets, develop reporting

solutions, and work closely with business units to identify trends and business opportunities.

The role involves performing advanced statistical analysis, creating and automating reports, and

delivering actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes.

Primary Job Responsibility

Data Analysis Support:

  • Oversee and guide the analysis of complex datasets to extract meaningful insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Review and validate analytical reports and outputs from the team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
  • Enable self-service analytics by improving access to trusted data and tools
  • Ensure analytics outputs are reliable, scalable, and easy to interpret

Data Visualization

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced, executive-level dashboards and visualizations.
  • Define and enforce visualization standards to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align visualizations with business objectives and user needs.
  • Promote data storytelling by enhancing the clarity and impact of visual reports.
  • Train and mentor the analytics team on best practices in data visualization and storytelling.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with data management teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Conduct data validation and assist in data cleansing efforts.
  • Report data anomalies and discrepancies

Project Support

  • Lead analytics support for major cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Define project-specific data requirements, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the team's contributions to projects, providing guidance as needed.
  • Communicate project outcomes, analytics insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science,
  • Mathematics or other related fields.
  • Expertise in analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Proven experience with advanced analytics techniques
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics, Sisense, Power BII).
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and working with large databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data to drive business decisions.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge in MS EXCEL/Google Sheets
