Key Responsibilities
- Act as a quality champion for the Business Intelligence (BI) team
- Contribute to and support the BI testing strategy to ensure high-quality releases
- Create high-quality test cases based on requirements and quality standards, ensuring reports meet user expectations
- Collaborate with the BI team to identify and execute appropriate tests for BI dashboards prior to production release
- Support continuous test execution, review failed tests, and recommend improvements
- Advocate for quality throughout all stages of the BI development lifecycle
- Work directly with stakeholders and business analysts to understand and document requirements
- Partner closely with database administrators, BI developers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Support data collection, integration, testing, and issue troubleshooting
- Prepare and maintain clear, concise, and accurate project documentation
- Participate in project roadmap development and provide work estimates
- Ensure compliance with team standards, best practices, and policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and report development
- Intermediate knowledge of testing tools and techniques for BI dashboards and reports
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to write SQL queries for data testing
- Beginner to Intermediate experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, PowerPivot, or SSRS
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio
- Background in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization
- Experience creating business requirement documents, process flows, use cases, and test plans
- Strong attention to detail with a mindset focused on quality and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Willingness to learn Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) for testing purposes
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, ambiguity, and multiple competing demands
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a global team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience converting manual tests into automated scripts is a plus
