The Business Development Specialist will conduct market research and evaluate potential locations for franchise expansion. This role involves performing site visits and inspections to assess business viability while ensuring a streamlined process for site endorsements, layout approvals, and operational compliance to support successful franchise growth.
Duties And Responsibilities
Location Evaluation and Ocular Inspection
- Receive and process ocular forms within 2-3 days of submission.
- Conduct physical site visits to evaluate location suitability.
- Submit site evaluation reports within 24 hours after inspection.
- Document site characteristics, accessibility, and potential risks.
Layout Preparation and Approval
- Coordinate with franchisees to gather location specifications.
- Submit draft layouts to the graphics team within 24 hours after confirmation.
- Ensure adherence to mall construction guidelines for kiosk sites.
- Finalize layouts and obtain approvals from franchisees and lessors.
Canvassing and Procurement Support
- Identify materials needed for franchise setup and prepare Purchase Request Forms (PRF).
- Coordinate with the purchasing department for material release.
- Facilitate communication between franchisees and vendors regarding procurement.
Saturation and Location Identification
- Actively research high-traffic areas for potential franchise locations.
- Endorse suitable locations to franchisees based on business needs and customer traffic analysis.
Follow-Up and Reporting
- Provide timely updates to franchisees on site selection and approval process.
- Maintain organized documentation of all site evaluations, layouts, and approvals.
- Ensure all selected locations align with the companys strategic growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, location assessment, or franchise operations.
- Experience in handling site selection, vendor coordination, and compliance processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and mapping tools (Google Maps, Waze).
