The successful candidate will focus on Business Development and Commercial activities, with an emphasis on partner engagement and market research. They will support the growth of the company's geothermal base business and other renewable energy projects as they transition from exploration into the development phase.
The Role:
- Lead and monitor partner engagement activities, facilitate meetings, and prepare materials for external sharing such as Information Memoranda and other relevant documentation.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute site visits to key locations to support the viability assessment of new and existing technologies for power plants, acid mitigation, descaling solutions, and others.
- Support the development and evaluation of partnership structures for geothermal and other renewable energy projects.
- Conduct evaluations of new project ventures and provide strategic support for internal ad hoc projects.
- Perform comprehensive market scans using established sources, including accessing and downloading price and WESM market data through platforms such as NEO. Provide actionable market or industry insights.
- Contribute to the development of the company's long-term strategic plans, short- to medium-term business plans, and annual goals and objectives.
- Understand and analyze key insights from Decision Analysis (DA) modeling and evaluation, and conduct modeling for projects or analyses of moderate complexity.
The Individual:
- A graduate in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or market analysis, ideally within the energy sector.
- Experience in investment banking or financial advisory is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, especially in market research, financial modeling, and decision analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and energy market platforms like NEO or WESM.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.
- Willing to be based in Makati City.
