Business Development & Sales Manager Sustainable F&B ProductsWe are a sustainable manufacturing startup producing eco-friendly F&B products, starting with biodegradable straws made from plant-based materials. Our mission is to help cafs, restaurants, hotels, and distributors transition away from single-use plastics without compromising operational efficiency.
We are looking for a Business Development & Sales Manager who can both open doors and close deals someone with strong F&B industry experience, existing relationships, and the ability to build long-term commercial opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with HoReCa groups, caf chains, and packaging distributors
- Leverage existing F&B industry contacts to open strategic accounts
- Educate potential clients on sustainability, cost-per-use, and operational benefits
- Initiate pilot programs, trials, and phased rollouts with key accounts
- Build partnerships that can scale across multiple outlets or regions
Sales & Account Conversion
- Manage the full sales cycle from first meeting to initial order and repeat monthly consumption
- Present pricing, negotiate commercial terms, and handle objections
- Work with internal teams on forecasting monthly volume commitments
- Convert pilot accounts into recurring monthly customers
- Grow account value through outlet expansion and increased consumption
Account & Relationship Management
- Act as the main commercial point of contact for assigned accounts
- Maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers (owners, ops, procurement)
- Gather feedback on product performance, pricing, and logistics
- Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities as the product range expands
Market & Process Development
- Provide insights on pricing, packaging, certifications, and buyer requirements
- Help refine ideal customer profiles and sales messaging
- Support the creation of basic sales tools (pitch deck, pricing sheets, FAQs)
- Track pipeline and account progress using simple CRM or reporting tools
What We're Looking For- 36+ years experience in B2B sales or business development within F&B, HoReCa, or packaging
- Existing relationships with caf chains, restaurants, hotels, or distributors
- Comfortable selling a new or sustainable product category
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently in a startup environment
- Willingness to do both strategic outreach and hands-on selling
