The Business Development Officer will play a key role in translating T.I.P.s technologies, research outputs, and innovations into commercially viable ventures. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in business development, technology commercialization, startup ecosystems, innovation management, or technology transfer.

What You'll Do

Market Validation & Business Intelligence

• Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitor analysis
• Assess commercialization opportunities for emerging technologies
• Develop technical, financial, and operational feasibility studies
• Identify customer segments, pricing strategies, and market-entry opportunities

Business Planning & Commercialization Strategy

• Develop business models and comprehensive business plans
• Create commercialization roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
• Prepare financial projections, pricing models, and revenue strategies
• Support startup formation and investment-readiness activities

Financial & Feasibility Analysis

• Conduct market, technical, operational, and financial assessments
• Build financial models and sustainability analyses
• Prepare business cases and commercialization scenarios
• Support investment pitching and commercialization-readiness initiatives

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Technology Management, or a related field
• Graduate degree is an advantage
• Training or certifications in innovation management, business development, intellectual property, startup acceleration, or technology transfer are highly desirable

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in business development, technology transfer, innovation commercialization, startup development, venture building, consulting, or related fields
• Experience preparing business plans, financial models, feasibility studies, and commercialization strategies
• Exposure to academic, research, technology, or innovation-driven environments is an advantage
