Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer is responsible for active solicitation of new accounts and management of existing business for Trust and Wealth Management Group (TWMG) in terms of assets under management (AUM) and income (trust fees) by offering different products of TWMG such as but not limited to Unit Investment Trust Funds (UITFs), Personal Management Trust (PMT), Investment Management Arrangements (IMA), Employee Benefit Trusts (EBTs), Escrows and other fiduciary accounts (OFA).

• Analyzes potential growth and business opportunities for TWMG through active solicitation of accounts per target market (from assigned business areas)
• Sends proposals, investment ideas to assigned branches and or clients and accordingly prepares and schedules product presentations.
• Ensures proper selling of Trust products by enhancing product knowledge and using proper documentation per product.
• Implements sales strategies that will encourage referrals/synergies from assigned branches.
• Achieves allocated AUM/income targets of TWMG for the year.
• Provides feedback to management regarding market preferences for TWMG to be able to develop and improve existing TWMG products.
• Compliance to rules and regulation of the BSP, SEC, IC and BIR in terms of proper selling and appropriate documentation.
• Compliance to policies and procedures of the bank and TWMG in terms of on-boarding clients and endorsements.
• Addresses audit concerns and requirements by the BSP, internal and external auditors particularly AMLA and documentation.
• Assists in the implementation of sales programs for branches, financial literacy and trust marketing in initiatives. Coordinates closely with other units of the bank or branches to implement strategic and tactical plans.
• Attends trainings, webinars, etc. to hone knowledge and competency
• Prepares regular management reports as required by TWMG management and other tasks as may be required from time to time (sales reports, call reports, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent
• At least 2 to 5 years experience in Banking, Trust, or Wealth Management Services.
