Role Description
We are seeking a Business Development Officer with strong sales experience and an established industry network in NCR and Central Luzon to originate new construction and interior fit-out opportunities, build and convert client relationships, support tender submissions and commercial negotiations, and grow the company's secured project pipeline while working closely with operations teams to turn leads into awarded contracts and repeat business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop existing and new contacts and relationships within the NCR and Central Luzon construction industry particularly in building construction and fit-out.
- Generate new business for the company through various methods including leveraging industry contacts you possess.
- Engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for business.
- Work closely with Developers, Architects, Consultants and Clients.
- Engage and manage client relationships.
- Monitor the market and competitor activity in relation to the direction and performance of projects.
- Develop marketing strategies tailored around company's strengths.
- Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5 years substantial and broad business experience in Business Development and/or Account Management in the construction industry with at least 3 years demonstrated success in selling and developing new business.
- Demonstrated network including developers, owners, owner's representatives, architects, engineers and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to create business opportunities.
- Ability to meet targets.
- Engaging and highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that cultivate and grow lasting business relationships both internally and externally.
- Exhibit strong business acumen, skills and maturity and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
