Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Officer who can directly drive revenue generation through strategic B2B engagement. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in closing deals, managing client relationships, and navigating complex sales cycles. The position is suited for someone comfortable operating in a consultancy environment, where solutions are tailored, relationship-driven, and outcome-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads aligned with the company's overall business strategy
- Drive end-to-end business development activities, from prospecting to deal closure and account management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key decision-makers
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and initiate consultative discussions to identify client needs and opportunities
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate service value and address client requirements
- Convert leads into long-term clients through structured engagement and follow-through
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to refine business strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, and leadership) to align sales initiatives and ensure effective service delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle of opportunities to maximize revenue and client retention
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced studies or certifications in sales or business development are an advantage
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in B2B sales or business development
- Demonstrated success in closing and managing high-value contracts and long-term client engagements
- Strong existing network across corporate sectors; ability to access and engage decision-makers
- Experience in consultancy, professional services, or similar industries is preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly self-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
