Job Description
Tendo by Tonik is seeking a driven and strategic Account Manager – Business Development to help accelerate our growth across new markets, segments, and product opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building strong partnerships, and can confidently champion new business ideas from concept to execution.

- Market Expansion & Opportunity Identification
- Identify and evaluate high potential sectors and customer segments where Tendo can expand its lending footprint.
- Conduct market scans, competitor assessments, and data-driven evaluations to uncover new business opportunities.
- Business Case Development & Advocacy
- Prepare clear, compelling, and data backed business cases for new segments, product variations, and strategic initiatives.
- Present and defend proposals to internal decision-makers, ensuring alignment with Tendo's strategic and financial goals.
- Partner Relationship Management
- Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with current and prospective employer partners and ecosystem players.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner needs, ensuring strong engagement, responsiveness, and long-term alignment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Analytics, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth development and rollout of new initiatives.
- Coordinate regulatory and internal compliance requirements to ensure readiness prior to launch.
- Conversion & Performance Management
- Monitor performance of newly launched partners or segments against business case assumptions.
- Drive initiatives with Marketing, Analytics, and Portfolio Management teams to ensure strong adoption, utilization, and portfolio quality.
- Project Launch & Contracting
- Lead end to end project activation, ensuring all operational requirements and timelines are met.
- Oversee preparation, review, and execution of relevant contracts, MOAs, MOUs, and partner agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, account management, partnerships, fintech, banking, or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working on business cases or financial models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Relationship-builder with a partner-centric mindset.
- Self-starter with high ownership, initiative, and ability to execute.
