Responsibilities
- Drive competitive and innovative insurance product to provide best insurance products to meet with customer and business needs by working together with carrier and re-insurer
- Lead negotiation and problem solving in obtaining the best and most suitable carrier placements based upon business team's needs
- In conjunction with business team and clients, utilizes risk expertise and knowledge of industry and markets to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
- Submits coverage specifications and obtains quotes from carriers, binds coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of programs they have bound.
- Builds and maintains relationships with insurance and re-insurance companies
- Acts as the primary source of information concerning market conditions, including pricing trends, coverage grants, and other underwriting issues.
- Keeps abreast of changing market conditions and informs the business team of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
- Supports and assists in the development of new products.
- Works closely with business team to support client retention and new business production.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in insurance or re-insurance industry
- Have wide network and strong relationship with the key leaders of insurance and re-insurance companies
- Having a degree or certificate of insurance broker or in insurance is a plus
- Solid understanding in general insurance products for all line of risks and businesses
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, insurance terms and conditions and claim appeal process
- Able to deliver good insurance proposal according to client's expectations with good SLA
- Excellent in communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work in individual and as member of team
- Attention to details, good oral/written English
