About the Role
We are seeking a high-impact Clinic Business Development & Operations Manager to help scale a growing healthcare practice.
This is not a traditional operations or marketing support role.
This position is for a proven builder someone who can actively grow a clinic, strengthen revenue systems, and build operational infrastructure that allows the founder to focus on clinical leadership.
If you have successfully grown a healthcare business, built referral pipelines, navigated insurance complexities, and are comfortable owning revenue accountability, this role was designed for you.
Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Build and expand referral networks (PCPs, therapists, specialists, community providers)
- Conduct outreach (calls, networking, partnership development)
- Create structured referral pipelines beyond founder-led relationships
- Identify and activate new growth channels
- Support and optimize paid patient acquisition efforts (Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
- Improve cost per booked patient and overall revenue performance
- Establish measurable growth KPIs and reporting
- Insurance & Revenue Cycle Optimization
- Oversee claims submission workflows
- Navigate and resolve claim denials
- Improve reimbursement processes
- Identify operational breakdowns affecting revenue
- Build systems that reduce revenue leakage
- Partner with billing teams to improve collections
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day clinic operations
- Build accountability systems and performance dashboards
- Strengthen internal workflows and SOPs
- Coordinate payroll and vendor oversight
- Ensure team alignment and execution
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
Competencies and Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare clinic, private practice, or medical service environment
- Demonstrated success growing revenue in a healthcare or service-based business
- Direct experience with insurance claims management and denial resolution
- Experience building referral relationships and generating business
- Strong operational systems experience (SOPs, workflows, reporting)
- Experience overseeing payroll, billing coordination, or vendor management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience scaling a startup or founder-led healthcare practice
- Paid media familiarity (Google Ads, Meta) even if not the primary strategist
- CRM and funnel experience (HubSpot or similar)
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Healthcare administration degree or business background
- Experience building commission or incentive structures
- Exposure to compliance and regulatory oversight in healthcare
