JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager Direct Sales leads the acquisition and expansion of commercial and industrial (C&I) accounts. This role owns the end-to-end sales process from lead prospecting to contract negotiation, working closely with Sales Engineering and Commercials & Contracts to deliver value-driven, technically sound proposals. Acts as the primary relationship sponsor for key clients post-sale, ensuring continuity and retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition
Source and qualify new leads from C&I and Emerging Corporate sectors
Conduct discovery sessions to uncover customer needs and strategic fit
Feed market and competitor insights to the Director and Business Analyst
Proposal Development & Deal Shaping
Lead the techno-commercial sales process, working closely with Sales Engineer
Ensure proposal accuracy, value positioning, and alignment with client needs
Own end-to-end development of commercial terms in coordination with C&C
Client Relationship Management
Maintain relationships with senior decision-makers throughout the client lifecycle
Serve as executive sponsor post-signature for renewals and expansion deals
Represent client voice in internal pipeline and product strategy discussions
Collaboration & Team Interface
Coordinate with Sales Engineering for site assessments and layouts
Work with Project Delivery and C&C to ensure smooth project handover post-signature
Attend weekly forecast reviews and maintain CRM hygiene
