Job Description
The Business Development Intern will support the team in finding, qualifying and following up on new clients and partners. Working closely with the founders, the intern will research leads, help run outreach, keep the pipeline current and prepare materials for client meetings.
This internship is a hands-on introduction to how a services business wins work, from the first conversation to a signed engagement. The ideal candidate is curious, organized and comfortable reaching out to people they don't know yet.
This is a part-time internship for a minimum of 3 months. Schedules can be arranged around classes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market and Lead Research: Research target industries, companies, competitors and decision-makers, and build qualified lead lists with accurate contact details.
Outreach Support: Draft and send personalized emails and LinkedIn messages, follow up on replies, and help book discovery calls.
Pipeline Management: Log leads, conversations and next steps in the CRM, and prepare weekly updates on outreach and pipeline progress.
Proposal and Pitch Materials: Help prepare proposals, pitch decks, case studies and company profiles for client meetings.
Meeting Support: Join client and partner calls, take notes, and track action items through to completion.
Events and Partnerships: Help identify and prepare for networking events, webinars and partnership
opportunities.
Communication and Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of work and progress, and
communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree in Business, Marketing,
Communications, Economics or a related field.
Interest in Sales and Technology: Genuine interest in business development, sales and how software and AI help businesses grow. Prior internships, student organizations or sales experience are a plus.
Research and Organization: Able to find and verify information quickly, manage several tasks at once and keep accurate records.
Tools: Comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office. Familiarity with LinkedIn, a CRM (such as HubSpot or Pipedrive) or Canva is a plus.
Initiative: A self-starter who manages their own hours, follows through, takes feedback well and is eager to learn.
Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Proven ability to work well within cross-functional teams, with
strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
