Job Summary:
The position is primarily responsible for the following:
- Leading the development of new business initiatives in the capital markets in line with the Exchange's strategy.
- Exploring and presenting new business opportunities to Management.
- Managing the execution of approved new business initiatives in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Job Description:
- Responsible for leading the research, implementation and management of new business initiatives particularly developing and growing new products and services of the PSE.
- Presents new business opportunities to the Management Committee.
- Implements decisions arrived at by the Management Committee and/or the Board of Directors on new products/services being proposed.
- Sets the parameters in the drafting of relevant rules for new business products to be offered by PSE.
- Leads in writing and recommending policies relevant to new products and services.
- Represents the Department in all meetings and official functions relating to new business initiatives within and outside of the PSE.
- Ensures that the new product/service initiatives are consistent to the PSE rules and policies.
- Leads the department in the advancement and promotion of the PSE as a business institution.
- Identifies opportunities to improve business development including strengthening relationships with existing market groups and associations through networking and membership affiliation.
- Oversees the whole process of continuing business/new business initiatives being undertaken by the Department.
- Ensures adequate communication and coordination with internal and key external parties.
- Sets the Department's annual business plans and budget, oversees actual performance versus business plans and ensures that the Department is operating within the approved budget.
- Ensures the attainment of the Department's annual business plans.
- Monitors global market news and trends to stay abreast of the markets and latest developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Management, or equivalent.
- At least ten (10) years of work experience is required with relevant experience in business/product development and project management as well a sound background in capital markets and the financial industry.
- Knowledge on valuation, derivatives, digital assets and financial technology is an advantage, Research and Marketing Techniques.
- Amenable to work on-site (BGC, Taguig City).
