Department: Sales – Cisco

Location: Makati City, NCR, Philippines

Reports To: Senior Regional Director

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Director, Business Development to lead and grow our Cisco business in the Philippines. This role requires strong Cisco technology expertise, deep channel experience, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.

You will play a critical role in transforming and scaling the Cisco Business Unit, driving sustainable revenue growth, and building a high-performing, future-ready organization aligned with market trends.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Achieve revenue and gross profit targets
  • Drive regional growth and quarterly MBO attainment
  • Own and execute the Channel Development Plan
  • Promote complementary and affinity vendors within the Cisco practice
  • Drive vendor sales through Tier-2 resellers and ATP partners
  • Ensure consistent program execution and regional alignment

Leadership & Business Transformation

  • Lead and manage the Cisco sales team to ensure business stability, growth, and a predictable operating environment
  • Work closely with management to transform the business alongside sales, marketing, and services teams
  • Establish the right coverage model to address evolving market trends
  • Build and scale a profitable services practice to support a value-added model

Channel & Vendor Engagement

  • Build strong rapport and strategic relationships with vendors, partners, and internal shared resources
  • Engage vendor account and channel managers to strengthen channel relationships
  • Act as a key link between regional vendor leadership and local execution teams
  • Provide timely and consistent product and pricing updates to partners
  • Align vendor and channel partner objectives to drive mutual growth

Sales Execution & Pipeline Development

  • Build pipeline by matching accounts and activities with channel partners across the Cisco product portfolio
  • Conduct joint sales visits with partners to position Cisco solutions to end users
  • Work closely with presales and solution architects to develop optimal Cisco solutions, including POCs and BOMs
  • Collaborate with channel teams and vendors on pricing strategies and opportunity management
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting

Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards
  • Meet all reporting deadlines and business planning requirements
  • Provide strategic feedback to senior management
  • Ensure professionalism and punctuality in all internal and external engagements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies across networking, security, voice, server, and storage solutions
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal shared resources
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to transform business models to meet future market trends
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, services, and senior leadership teams
  • Deep understanding of the IT distribution and channel ecosystem
  • Strong sales leadership background with experience engaging at senior and strategic levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong business planning, strategy development, and execution capability
  • Experience in tender and proposal development
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with strong energy, discipline, and attention to detail
