Role: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for handling inbound leads, qualifying potential customers, and driving revenue by providing tailored solutions. When inbound leads are minimal, the specialist takes the initiative— actively sourcing new opportunities through strategic outreach methods such as cold calling, email marketing, and other lead-generation initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage with incoming leads via calls, instant messaging, and emails to assess their needs.
- Qualify prospects and determine their suitability for our products/services.
- Provide pricing quotes and work towards closing deals efficiently.
- Maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic outreach, including cold calling and email marketing.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance lead generation efforts.
- Keep records of customer interactions and maintain an organized pipeline of prospects.
- Stay up to date with market trends and customer needs to refine strategies.
Qualification and Job Specification
Education
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business, Communications, Psychology , or a related field of study
Experience and Competency
- Proven experience in customer engagement, lead qualification, or related roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and think strategically about growth opportunities.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging in email marketing.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience using CRM tools and communication platforms.
