Position: Business Controller

Location: NCR

Work Setup: Onsite

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Summary:

The Business Controller Pharmaceuticals is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial performance, trading analysis, and commercial planning for the Health Business Unit. This position will act as a strategic partner to key internal stakeholders and support decision-making across trading, category management, marketing, and supply chain functions. The role ensures profitability, financial compliance, and long-term growth by aligning financial insights with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Performance and Financial Management

  • Oversee and manage the profit and loss (P&L) for pharmaceutical and health-related accounts.
  • Analyze trading performance, margin trends, and cost structures to support business growth.
  • Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reviews.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights for financial and operational improvement.

Trading and Commercial Finance Support


  • Partner closely with trading and merchandising teams to assess vendor deals, pricing structures, and promotional investments.
  • Evaluate trading terms to ensure alignment with margin and profitability targets.
  • Provide financial input into supplier negotiations and commercial initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Business Partnering


  • Serve as a finance business partner to category managers and the Health Business Unit head.
  • Support strategic initiatives including new product launches, pricing optimization, and expansion planning.
  • Translate business strategies into financial plans, forecasts, and models.

Process Improvement and Compliance


  • Drive enhancements in financial reporting processes and ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:


Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred

Experience


  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial management, business control, or finance business partnering
  • At least 3 years in a controller-level position within a trading, pharmaceutical, or healthcare setting
  • Proven experience working with pharmaceutical health accounts and a strong understanding of trading operations
